LeaseWeb,  the hosting provider, announced that its data center in Manassas, VA, has now met all the stringent requirements of, and thus complies with U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), reinforcing to its customers that their customer-crucial data is extremely well protected. The HIPAA certification ensures that its customers’ Protected Health Information (PHI) data is safeguarded and secure and is safe from  improper access of critical information. Also, the Company has also achieved PCI DSS Certification, SOC 1 Type II assurance and ISO 27001:2013 standards across all its independent global entities.

Vimond leverages Fastly’s CDN for better media streaming capabilities

Vimond Media, the Norwegian provider of broadband television platforms, announced that it is leveraging Fastly's CDN, in order to provide faster and better live and on-demand video streaming capabilities to its customers.  partnering with Vimond Media will not only provide it with an access to Vimond’s video stack and thus further help it in improving its offerings, but also help it in reaching out to a higher audience. Vimond Media will also be able to provide its customers with improved streaming capabilities, support for rapidly purging content on the edge servers and access to various real-time reports and performance analytics from Fastly. Both parties mentioned their satisfaction over the synergy of the two companies.

Internap enables faster connectivity in China with its China Performance IP offering

Internap Corporation, a provider of  of flexible and intelligent Internet IT infrastructure services, announced the availability of its China Performance IP, a direct connection between the networks of mainland Chinese Internet providers and Internap’s private network access point in Hong Kong, which should provide its customers with low latency connectivity in mainland China without the cost and complexity of setting up operations in the region. the China Performance IP offering is already available to its customers - the direct, high-speed connection between Hong Kong and the mainland China region is powered by its patented Managed Internet Route Optimizer (MIRO) technology. The testing has shown a 200% improvement in latency as compared to its traditional Hong Kong IP offering. In some mainland China regions, latency improvement was as high as 1000%.

Deutsche Telekom signs an extensive partnership agreement with Akamai Technologies

Akamai, the global provider of Content Delivery Networks as well as cloud-based streaming media solutions, announced that Germany's Deutsche Telekom, had signed an extensive partnership agreement with it at the CeBIT computer trade fair in Hanover to sell Akamai’s full solution portfolio to its enterprise customers. The two Companies had first collaborated in 2015 wherein Akamai’s cloud and global network would power Deutsche Telekom’s IP-VPN offering. However, with the latest collaboration, Deutsche Telekom would be able to provide its corporate customers with all of Akamai’s offerings including both content acceleration as well as web security suites. Both companies have shown great satisfaction over the partnership agreement. This partnership will undoubtedly increase the user satisfaction of Deutsche Telekom's customer base.
