LeaseWeb, the provider of web hosting and Content Delivery Networks, announced the availability of vCloud, its VMware-based private cloud environment, from its data center in Singapore. Previously, the vCloud was only launched in Netherlands in March 2015 and now it will also be available to its Asia customers. The vCloud offering includes various features, such as extensive GUI, fault-tolerant design, load balancer and firewall support. The offering is powered by full SSD storage and supports snapshot management to enable reverting back to previous stages as well as template cloning and management. This solution also comes with an extremely extensive API and support for advanced networking features like virtual networking to meet private cloud needs of various customers.

Internap Corporation, the provider of high-performance Internet infrastructure solutions and services, announced that Tulix Systems, the provider of streaming, monetization and digital distribution services, is leveraging its Managed Internet Route Optimizer (MIRO) Controller to ensure high-speed and reliable video streaming capabilities of its customers around the globe. Tulix Systems have stated that the company reported significant increase in network demands from its customers with the rise of over-the-top, on-demand streaming content. This is where with its capabilities of monitoring multi-homed networks and efficiently balancing network capacity by considering latency, packet-loss, congestion and route-stability, the Internap MIRO Controller helps ensuring a much better streaming capability to Tulix Systems’ customers.

CloudFlare, the provider of Content Acceleration and Web Security Companies, announced that the Company had just added its 77th, 78th and 79th data center facilities at Taipei, Taiwan, Kiev, Ukraine and Bangkok, Thailand, respectively, as part of its effort to further expand its global network - in order to optimize content, provide DDoS mitigation and scrubbing services through redundancy. CloudFlare has stated that all these 3 data centers would reduce load on its existing facilities at Hong Kong, Frankfurt and Singapore/Kuala Lumpur. The introduction of these 3 new data centers will increase performance for customers in new areas by localizing content further, and is expected to improve overall network performance on those larger centers.

Verizon, the provider of broadband and telecommunications, has joined forces with Actifio, a privately held information technology firm, to launch a new cloud backup service using the copy data virtualization leader’s technology platform. The service will support customers using virtualized infrastructures – including a combination of colocation, hosting, off-premises servers and other public clouds – to enable a unified hybrid cloud environment where data is easy to manage, access and protect. The copy data virtualization platform will enable Verizon enterprise customers to embrace hybrid cloud, accelerate application development and improve business resiliency. This offering allows for self-serve instant access to data while enhancing data control, adding business value by allowing higher quality applications to be developed faster, as well as protect data across the full range of conventional protection use cases.

Hibernia Networks, the provider of global, high speed telecommunications solutions, has announced the addition of Protected Wavelength Service to its suite of Optical Transport Solutions. The new, highly resilient Protected Wavelength Service is available on the company’s three transatlantic routes including its flagship system, Hibernia Express, the recently launched high capacity, low latency cable connecting North America and Europe. Hibernia Networks’ Protected Wavelength Service is available at 10Gbps with the capability to add 100Gbps service in the future. The service offers less than 50ms failover switching to a fully dedicated alternative circuit for uninterrupted network connectivity. Hibernia Networks provides customers with enhanced security through the diversity of its unique subsea cables routes, strategically engineered to mitigate costly network downtime.
